January Date Night - 2014 is the Year of Dates

If you saw my post earlier this week you know that 2014 is the Year of Dates.
For Christmas I gave Aaron the gift of a date each month.

January is such a tight month for money as we catch up after Christmas that I decided we would both need a simple movie night to cut through the school holidays, our busy work schedules that seem to keep us from spending much time together, and how money conscious we are being at the moment.

Every quarter I claim our flybuys points as Hoyts Movie Vouchers so that we can have a free movie night. The January envelope held two of these bad boys and $20 for a movie combo.

The hubby and I went and saw 47 Ronin and we really enjoyed it. I wasn't sure if this was going to be one of those subtitled movies, but for the most part it wasn't. This was a little Last Samurai mixed with some seriously supernatural stuff. Movie nights are not exactly the definition of quality time together, but it is definitely nice to just zone out but still be together.
