Sort Your Life Out January Link Up

If you read my blog regularly, you would know that I have dedicated 2014 to organising areas in my home that have been bugging me for a while.

My Sort Your Life Out in 12 months Series have been some of my most popular posts so far on the blog. Organisation is something that people are truly passionate about, probably because it is so rewarding to have an organised space to live in.

This month was all about the kitchen and I have completed the majority of my tasks. My freezer is still a work in progress, as is my never ending Tupperware cupboard, but I am really happy with how this series has made me feel accountable to see these tasks through.

Kate from Quitting the Quick Fix has made this month all about decluttering with a Junk Free January. Kate has some really great advice and tips about hoarding, going through your digital clutter, and I especially love the post Set Yourself Up For Success, asking you three questions to determine whether you should keep that item of clutter or throw it away. This is definitely a post to bookmark if you struggle being ruthless when it comes to getting rid of clutter.
Join in on Kate's giveaway! See details on the QTQF site

You can find Kate on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. Kate even has a Pinterest board dedicated entirely to Junk Free January.

Katrina from The Organised Housewife is all about organising and if you aren't already subscribed to her daily newsletter you should be! Kat's Back to School Series shares some easy healthy lunch ideas, reviews on lunchboxes, but the School Bag Nook post is my absolute fave of the series. School bags waiting to be tripped over on the floor is bloody annoying not ideal and can make the tidiest room look cluttered. I love the idea of hanging my own handbag up as well so it isn't laying around on the floor.

You can find Kat at Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. Kat has even created videos on YouTube.

I am so passionate about being organised, I want to open up the floor to you so I can see your organising projects, no matter what they are. They can be new or old posts. The only thing I ask for in return is that you:

  1. Link back to Me and My Ready Made Family in some way, or grab the SYLO button and add it to your linky page
  2. Check out as many other links as possible and leave some comment love
  3. Share the link up with your friends and on social media so that we can get as many people linking up as possible.

  1. Great idea having a plan to tackle our homes. It can see like such a big task but by breaking it up you are making seem a little achievable.

  2. It is a great idea. I try to tackle one room properly each weekend. It doesn't always happen but it looks great when it is done.

    1. That's a good idea! I totally agree. I get such a sense of achievement from little organising tasks. A place for everything and everything in its' place and all that :)

  3. A great idea Sheridan - I did my fridge and freezer but it needs doing again.
My never ending Tupperware cupboard is waiting for me to play tetris. I have put it off a few times - you have inspired me to do it today !

    1. Thanks Trish! Glad to hear that. And oh goodness, tetris is EXACTLY the term I should be using for my Tupperware cupboard too!
      Good luck with yours

  5. I am very slowly getting there at organising my home. Thankfully my bestie (and blog partner) is obsessive about organising so is also good at motivating me, along with a number of other blogs (I'll add yours to my list of inspirations now!)
It's reminded me that both my pantry and fridge need re-organising (yet again). The good thing is, when I blog the end result I have the photos to guide me as to how it should be! ~Mel~
