Happy New Year! A NYE BBQ

I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas! I know we all did here at the Lenton household. When you get to spend time with your loved ones away from work, it is ALWAYS time well spent.

I love entertaining and we are hosting a New Years Eve BBQ at our place today.

My regular side dishes include:

Potato Salad

Pasta Salad

Garden Salad

Fried Rice

I went shopping yesterday for some food and just decided bugger it, I will buy some pasta salad and coleslaw rather than making it. I made my potato salad though. My potato salad makes me want to skip. Yep, it's that good. At least I think so.

3. Once the potatoes are cooked through, drain the water from them and add to the mayonnaise mixture
4. Chop shallots and add to bowl. Mix through
5. Put in the fridge... and resist the urge to eat it all!

I went to Aldi and picked up these mesh food covers for $4.99 each. They had a heap of great bright colours to choose from. Right now Aldi have a tonne of outdoor gear for alfresco dining! (Have I mentioned I love Aldi??)

Woolies have some amazing party products right now too. I bought the sparklers, straws and balloons there.

I absolutely love apothecary jars. They are handy and stylish for holding items, but today I decided I'd use them and recycle Christmas ornaments as table decorations. Honestly, you could fill these little guys with just about anything and they'd look super cute.

Whether you are staying up until midnight or going to bed by 8:30pm, spending time with family or going out with friends I hope that you all have an amazing night reminiscing on the things that 2013 brought you.
