These are the things I used:
Ribbon
Ribbon
Decorative paper (Kaisercraft Christmas scrapbooking paper)
Scissors
Hole puncher
If you have a paper trimmer or guillotine, these will make your job a lot easier and your lines a lot straighter.
Using my bunting template, I traced the triangles onto the back of the Christmas scrapbooking paper I chose and cut them using my paper trimmer.
Once I figured out how long I needed the bunting to be, I measured and cut the ribbon.
Each triangle needs two holes at the top so the ribbon has somewhere to attach to. I used a hole punch to do this.
After arranging the flags in the order I liked I thread the ribbon through the punched holes.
You can really do this part whichever way you like, but I think it looks neater to thread the ribbon in through the front side so the ribbon pokes out the back and doesn't cover much of your flag design.

You can hang the bunting with tape, Blu-Tac, thumbtacks or Command hooks depending on the surface you are attaching the bunting to. I used washi tape because it is easy to remove without damaging walls or furniture, plus I found a cute Christmas themed washi tape 4 pack at Kmart for $1.50
It is a simple touch but it really does add that extra element of Christmas and bunting is just all the rage right now!
Do you have bunting to decorate your house?
